Celebrating 20 years of studio produced, hand-crafted, contemporary light switch plate covers for your home and office.

All of Laura’s enamels are designed, painted and kiln-fired in her Bloomington, Ind. studio where she works with her husband, Chris Martin.

Since 1987 Laura has concentrated exclusively on enamels as her medium for artistic expression. In its raw state, enamel is colored glass crushed to sand-like powder. The enamel is sifted onto a copper piece and fired in a kiln at 1500 F. This leaves a glossy enamel “canvas” on which to paint the enamel design. Each grain is a color unto itself, therefore between two and six “firings” (layering of color) are required in the completion of a design.
